to be….or not to be? that is the question.
I agree with this. I really can’t decide whether or not to join a fraternity. I suppose I’ll wait until I get to school to see if I even like any of them.
This post is for the upcoming college freshies out there. I’m actually writing this down because my friend (Jo Cabaron) gave me some advice, that things I have to do in college (which I guess not that pretty ideal). But anyway, in this post I list down my own personal “5 Ways To Survive…
So, the time has come for me to finally facilitate the metamorphosis from an awkward high school teenager to an intellectual adult in college. Yeah—that’s quite a mouthful. But trust me, it’s a lot easier than it seems. For some the task is too daunting, and the majority will remain in an awkward Hollister/athletic attire phase for a large portion of their lives. However, the benefits are endless for the bold few who dare to outshine the crowd. Take me for instance. I’m currently in the process of completely redesigning myself, inside and out. I finally feel like I’m my own person; an individual. And I’m never going back.
Now, let’s get down to business. You may be asking, “How can I make this BIG transition possible?”
Well, I’ll show you.
Today, I hit the outlets in New York and prepared a few essential looks that every college kid should have in his closet. All pictures were taken by me, use them only if you credit me.
Let’s start from the ground up.
KICKS
the shoes make the look happen. never be afraid to be bold in your footwear choices. after all, that’s why you’re reading this now, right? to look different.

PANTALONES
c’mon. its time to throw out those old gym shorts and cheap jeans. there are millions of great shorts and pants out there, go pick up a pair! throw in a solid belt and you’re set.

T-SHIRT TIME
after you’ve picked out the perfect shoes and shorts, time to find the perfect finishing element: the shirt (or shirts.) this piece can either make or break the entire thing. remember! a flashy/colorful shirt isn’t always the way to go, sometimes a neutral shirt can be a safe bet too…and vice versa.

ANYTHING ELSE
alright! now that you’ve got your sweet kicks, a rockin’ pair of pants, and a radical new t-shirt, you’re all done, right? WRONG. oh, so wrong. you’ve only just begun…now it’s time to delve into the world of accessories. watches, wristbands, necklaces, backpacks, bandanas, hats, shades, etc. don’t be too overwhelmed. and don’t over-clutter yourself, you’ll look like a fool. select the right amount of extras to make you look extraordinary.

SO, NOW WHAT?
head out into the world confident, cool, and ready to kick ass and take names.
you’re welcome.
